Nestled in the heart of Wellington County, the Township of Mapleton is an active community rich with heritage.
Mapleton Township consists of approximately 52,000 hectares of rich, productive farmland with varying agricultural enterprises. Mapleton has a growing population of over 9,900 residents throughout the Township and Villages of Drayton, Moorefield, Alma, Glen Allan and Rothsay.
Mapleton Township was officially formed on January 1st, 1999 with the amalgamation of the Townships of Maryborough, Peel and the Village of Drayton.
Our villages and small communities are picturesque, with a strong feeling of pride and community belonging, displayed by the people who reside here. Mapleton is our home, it is a great place to live, work and explore. Please come and discover our many miles of scenic countryside!
