Council meetings are generally open to the public and we welcome your attendance to see your councilors at work. However there are certain circumstances that require Council to meet in "closed session", and as a result the meeting will be closed to the public.

Before holding a meeting or part of a meeting that is to be closed to the public, Council is obligated to state that the meeting will be closed to the public as well as disclosing the general nature of the matter to be considered.

Mapleton Council meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively. Agendas are posted on the website on the Friday preceding the Council meeting. Council meetings are governed by a procedural by-law which is strictly adhered to.

Should you wish to be a delegation at an upcoming meeting of council, please complete the form ‘Request to Appear Before Township of Mapleton Council’. Click here for the form.
