Parks, Recreation and Culture

Our parks system is made up of a Community Centre in Moorefield with two ball diamonds, picnic area and playground equipment. In Drayton we have the P.M.D. Arena and Community Centre, forty acres of parkland which includes two Ball Diamonds, two regulation size Soccer Fields, a walking trail being developed along the Conestogo River and lots of play structures.

In Glen Allan we have a two acre park abutting the Conestogo River with a picnic shelter and play equipment. In Alma we are in the process of developing approximately twenty-five acres as parkland. This is still in the planning stages.

Conestogo Lake Conservation Authority has 177 campsites of which 94 have electrical and water connections. These can be reserved up to two years in advance by stopping at the Gatehouse or calling 1-519-638-2873.
