Mapleton's 2026 Culture Days!

Ready to make some music? Join the Drayton School of Music, with help from MooreBand, for a fun and welcoming Jam Night during Mapleton Culture Days.

Whether you’re an experienced musician, looking to build your confidence, or simply want to enjoy an evening of live music, everyone is welcome. All the gear needed to participate will be provided.

The evening will feature a Junior Jam Session from 6:30–8:00 p.m., followed by an Adult Jam Session beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Not ready to pick up an instrument? No problem! Come out to listen, support local musicians and enjoy the atmosphere. The bar will also be open throughout the evening.

Calling all puzzle lovers! Bring your completed puzzles to the Drayton Branch of the Wellington County Library and swap them with other puzzlers in the community.

Bring a puzzle, take a puzzle! It’s a fun and simple way to share your favourite puzzles, discover something new and connect with fellow puzzle enthusiasts.

Puzzles should be in good condition and include all pieces. Any leftover puzzles can be picked up after October 4 or will be donated.

Come swap, discover and keep the puzzling fun going!

Bring the whole family out for a fun-filled day on the farm celebrating all things fall! Enjoy a variety of hands-on crafts, outdoor activities and plenty of opportunities to explore.

Get creative with beaded corn cobs, wooden spoon scarecrows and fairy doors, then head outside for a corn maze and scavenger hunt, explore the forest trails and playground, try your hand at corn hole or see if you can rope the cow!

Don’t forget to stop by the barn for a family photo and join us for Corn Bingo at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

There’s something for everyone to enjoy, so gather the family and spend the day enjoying the farm, the forest and the fun of fall!

Children can enjoy hands-on sensory experiences inspired by life on the farm, along with fun crafts that encourage creativity and imagination. It’s a great opportunity for little ones to explore new textures, get creative and enjoy some farm-themed fun with their families.

Come spend the day exploring, creating and having fun together!

Explore your creative side and learn something new at this hands-on workshop at the Drayton Branch of the Wellington County Library.

Participants will learn how to make handmade paper from paper pulp and explore natural dyes that can be used on paper or fabric. It’s a great opportunity to experiment with creative techniques and discover new ways to use natural materials.

Join the Mapleton Historical Society for a guided historical walk and learn some surprising and fascinating facts about Moorefield along the way. It’s a great opportunity to get outside, enjoy a nice walk and see the community from a whole new perspective.

Calling all pie lovers! Join us for a fun and hands-on cream pie-making workshop with the Seniors Centre for Excellence! 

This FREE event is open to adults of all ages and is a great opportunity to get creative in the kitchen, connect with others, and enjoy a little pie trivia along the way! While your pie bakes, relax with coffee, tea and good conversation.

As part of Mapleton Culture Days, community youth are invited to discover the fun and excitement of performing arts with this free Magic & Juggling workshop!

Join award-winning performer and master illusionist DJ Carroll for a fast-paced, action-packed class that explores the fundamentals of magic and juggling. Participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills, explore the performance side of these circus arts, and build confidence while having fun.

The workshop is presented through the Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy, which provides opportunities for youth to develop creativity, confidence and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.

Each class runs for 60 minutes. Advance registration is required, as space is limited. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This program is free as part of Mapleton Culture Days.

Join the Mapleton Historical Society on September 22 as they celebrate their 100th anniversary with a special meeting open to the public.

As part of the celebration, the Society welcomes guest speaker Shaun Booth, co-author of The Gardener’s Guide to Native Plants of the Southern Great Lakes Region. Shaun will share his knowledge and insights on native plants, offering an engaging opportunity to learn more about the natural world around us.

This special event is also a chance to discover what happens at Mapleton Historical Society meetings, connect with others in the community and celebrate 100 years of preserving and sharing local history.
