Thank you for your interest in being involved with your community! Below is a list of events and programs where we are looking for participants, volunteers, support, etc. This is also where you will find information on photo contests and other ways to get involved with your community.
Mapleton Means Business Reels - Ongoing
Do you have a business in Mapleton? We want to show the community what you do!
We’re offering FREE promotional reels to help share your story — created in partnership with the Township of Mapleton. We will come to your business and film various clips and interviews to turn into a one minute video that we then share on our social media. All you need to do is set up a time to film and record audio clips for the video.

Mapleton Council Business Visits - Ongoing
These business visits are done in collaboration with the Township of Mapleton and the Council members and it is a way for businesses to showcase what they do and have a chance to speak directly with council.

Drayton Worth the Detour Sticker Campaign
The Drayton Worth the Detour Sticker Campaign is underway from June 1 to August 31!
Every time you shop or use a service at a participating downtown Drayton business, you'll receive a unique sticker. Collect 6 different stickers and submit your completed ballot for a chance to win gift card prizes worth up to $500! The more completed cards you submit, the more chances you have to win!
Ballots can be dropped off at A la Mode, Drayton Chop House, or Drayton Festival Theatre.
Drayton Worth the Detour Block Party
The Drayton Worth the Detour Block Party is coming to Wellington Street North on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 5–10 PM! Join us for an evening of live music, local food, breweries, kids’ activities, and community connection.
Enjoy performances from The New Nelsons, Bernie Hale, and Ivy Chung, extended patio experiences, special menus, and downtown businesses staying open late. Bring your friends and family and discover why Drayton is truly Worth the Detour!
Mapleton Welcome and Awards Reception
Join us on Wednesday, September 16, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Drayton PMD Arena for Mapleton’s Welcome & Awards Ceremony. This free event will welcome newcomers to the community, provide an opportunity to connect with local organizations and community groups, and celebrate the individuals who help make Mapleton a great place to call home.
