Township of Mapleton Welcomes New Director of Infrastructure and Community Services
DRAYTON, ON – SEPTEMBER 4, 2026 – The Township of Mapleton is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Clouthier as Director of Infrastructure and Community Services.
Martin brings extensive experience in municipal public works, infrastructure and operations to the Township, along with a strong technical background.
Prior to joining Mapleton, Martin spent eight years with the Municipality of French River, serving primarily as Manager of Public Works. In this role, he oversaw employees and directed day-to-day operations related to the municipality’s road network maintenance, while ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, facilitating staff training and managing administrative responsibilities.
Martin’s experience is supported by a strong educational and professional background. He holds diplomas in Civil Engineering Technology and Civil Engineering Technician from Cambrian College and is a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) and Certified Road Supervisor – Intermediate (CRS-I). He also holds an IPWEA Professional Certificate in Asset Management Planning and has successfully completed all eight modules of the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors’ Public Works Leadership Development Program.
With a passion for continuous learning and exploring new and innovative ideas, Martin brings valuable experience, knowledge and a forward-thinking perspective to the Township.
